Medifruit's Seller Feedback

I had a feedback thread on garagesalejapan but it seems to have disappeared. To keep the problem from repeating in the future, I've created my own.

If you've purchased something from me, please leave your feedback here.

Comment on this post to contribute to my AAA fansite, AAAttackism.

To contribute, simply leave a comment on this post with your contribution, or links to your contribution. Titling your comment with "AAA Contribution" or something similar would be helpful in picking your contribution out of my other LJ comments, but is not at all required.

By default, I will credit your LJ username. If you would like to be credited with another name, or if you would not like your name featured on the site at all, please specify when you first make your contribution. This will save me from having to edit credit tags later.

I will reply to your comment once your contribution has been added to the site, with a link to where you can find it. After your contribution is hosted, you may fill out the Contributor's Survey to be featured on our contributor's page as more then a username credit.

All comments are screened.

A couple of quick notes:

Contributing Media Files
My home computer runs on a dial up connection, so larger media contributions may have to wait for a reply. For this reason, my prefered host is Megaupload, as the files take a much longer time to expire. For smaller files (under 100MB) I prefer MediaFire.

Contributing News
When contributing news, please credit a source. Japanese sources are fine. Livejournals, other fansites, or forums are not reliable sources.
Otakon 2007 AAA Report!

Otakon 2007 AAA Report
Well I tried my hardest to avoid writing one of these things, but in the end I just can't help it. Let me start off by saying that not only was I not planning on attending Otakon, I've kind of been afraid to attend because of how big it is. When we heard that AAA was coming however, kristidesu and I immediately started trying to figure out how we could get there. I'm now INCREDIBLY indebted to her.

Friday
We had arrived on Thursday and already picked up our badges, so the Friday morning plan was to find out 1) Where the concert would be held and 2) How soon we could start lining up for it. We found the where, and had wandered over to ask the staffers about the "when" when we heard some familiar music playing from the closed off main events room. Some others had gone down and were peeking into the door so of course I couldn't help taking a peek myself.

They were doing a sound check of Dragon Fire, and while my terrible eyesight didn't allow me to get a clear view, from the way they were moving it was obvious that it was them. The peek was short lived though, as a staffer shooed us out of the doorway soon afterward. So we lingered around and listened to the rest of the sound check. We heard "Samurai Heart", "Let it Beat", and much to my happiness "Soul Edge Boy". A couple times through "Kimono Jet Girl" and the room went quiet again.

Soon after the first event in the main events room started, we finally got an answer from the staff. We could line up at 3pm at the red tape line. So, we wandered around in the general main events area for most of the day and met some really cool people. At 2:45 in the afternoon, with an okay from staff, we started the line.

It wasn't long before other fans started to gather, and we had plenty to talk about. Who's your favorite member? What's your favorite song? What's your favorite PV? How did you get into AAA? Those near us in the front of the line seemed to come from the same avenues we did, Tenimyu which led to Kamen Rider, DeliGaku, and Kendama among other things. The time seemed to pass quickly in a blur of Concentration and quiet sing-alongs.

Other AAA fans at the front of the concert line. <3

Friday Concert
As the concert was getting closer a guy with a camera came over and asked if he could interview us (myself and kristidesu). He asked what we were here for to which we very enthusiastically explained that we had come to Otakon just for AAA and were happy to wait all day to see them. He asked our favorite members and in my hesitance to be impolite I slowly answered "Naoya Urata", which I hope is correct. I'm always worried about turning Japanese names around the wrong way.

We told him that our favorite song was "Soul Edge Boy" and we and some of the girls a bit behind us started naming off even more after that "Sunshine is awesome too." "Q! Oh yea, Q is a good one!" After a few minutes of that he asked us to sing a bit. Kristi tried to do a bit of Soul Edge Boy, but I explained that I hadn't learned the lyrics to that one yet. Eventually we sang a single line from "That's Right" and ended with a groovy little point at the camera, which our interviewer seemed amused by.

It wasn't until later that we found out said interviewer was with their staff. *way way red faced*

We were also interviewed by a friend we had met previously who does a sentai/tokusatsu themed podcast. I think he was disappointed in us when we didn't name "Climax Jump" as our favorite song. ^ ^;;

We heard the sound checking start again and listened hard to try and make out the song, though it was hard to hear anything more then bass. After a delay, and some discussion about how awesome AAA is with the head of line staffer, we finally headed in for the concert.

Our seats were nice. Second row with only a few people (who remained sitting) in front of us. I was supposed to sing at Otaku Idol pretty much immediately following the concert, though against my better judgement, I chanted "Triple A" loudly along with the other fans in my area and sang along loudly to No End Summer and Sunshine when they came up on the big screen.

In the midst of the audience filming and such, I started watching the shadows on the wall, and I caught a glimpse of Nissy through the curtain at a few points, wearing the outfit that I knew from the 3rd Attack performance of Dragon Fire.

When they first stepped out, our entire row seemed to stand all at once and we were screaming and cheering, and Shinjiro was looking right down in our area. I remember one of my first thoughts being "Naoya bleached his hair again!" XD

I won't write out the set list, as plenty of people already have (and I'm sure I'd forget something), but the concert was most definately awesome.

When the concert ended a few girls behind us started calling for an encore.. that is until the announcement that there would be an autograph signing immediately. XD Kristi and I had brought along a couple of things to get signed, but not expecting an autograph signing until the next morning, we didn't have them with us. Luckily sempai had her wallet! $_$

Friday Autographs
So we headed over to the autograph signing and Kristi jumped in line in front of me. Which is actually a good thing, because if unblocked I'd coast through there too fast to look them all in the face. She bought me the Dragon Fire single with the DVD to get signed. Which is very pretty. <3

Of course, when we were getting close to them in the line, I was getting nervous so I grabbed sempai in a tight hug, and was staying really close to her. When we were just a couple of people away I went to eh.. unhug her and kind of knocked her on the face with the CD, which Hidaka just happened to catch and snicker at. @_@; Mortified already.

The girl in front of us was really cute. She accidentally handed Naoya the picture of Shuta so he laughed a little and pointed down at it saying "Kore Shuta" and the poor girl was about to explode from embarassment, she stammered out "gomen nasai" and pointed to herself saying "baka" which Naoya and Hidaka replied to by pointing and calling her a baka as well. ^ ^; Poor thing.

I passed by Hidaka with a simple "arigato" after he signed the cover. He had already seen me whack Kristi in the face so I didn't think I was up to trying to tackle decent japanese. I couldn't look Naoya in the face so I kind of stared at his hair and "Hi" seemed to be all I could say. Just as I was about to say thank you to him for signing my CD, I hear "D-d-d-d" from in front of me. So I look over to Kristi, who is looking at Nissy, who lets out a quiet "Hmm?" as he's signing her CD. "Delicious Gakuin wa.." and Naoya looks up grinning and goes "Ah!" and nudges Nissy and Nissy looks up grinning, and she finally finishes "daisuki desu." "Ahh~ De~licious." and he gives her a thumbs up.

Given the fact that I didn't think I would screw up that bad, I said "Delicious Gakuin wa suki desu." while Nissy was signing mine, from which I got an adorably enthusiastic "Sankyuu." Through Shuta and Misako I stuck to a system of "Hi" and "Thank you", and then I hear my sempai's voice again. She's now come face to face with Shinjiro, who she had only recently told me was the person she wanted to meet most in all the world and I hear, clear as a bell "Kendama wa daisuki desu." and he stood up, and very loudly exclaimed "Nan darou!? Nan darou!? Kendama!?" and poor Kristi meanwhile is shaking horribly. I can't remember what was said immediately after that, but he told her that her Japanese was good, and she mentioned Delicious Gakuin and told him that Katsuragi Shugo was number one.

They continued on while he was signing my autograph and Chiaki was signing hers. Chiaki was giggling at them and I think I was wondering whether or not sempai was just going to fall over in a dead faint any minute. After we had both cleared the line I hear "bye bye" and look back over and Shinjiro is waving at us and as soon as Kristi waved back, she pulled me away. XD

That was it for the day, though we did later hear that the boys had gone into the gameroom later and played some Mario Kart. XD

Saturday
We got up bright and early for the Q&A line and met up with some girls who had been in line with us for the concert, and some really awesome Shuta fans from Canada. Much more line fun was had with more games of concentration and lots of general fanloving of AAA.

You came from Canada? Now that's devotion.

We were once again in the second row (darn press and their reserving things). Again, I won't go into detail about the Q&A as plenty of other transcripts of it have been posted. These are just my highlights.

I didn't have a question to ask immediately, but a little ways into the Q&A I started to get a little sad at how quiet Naoya was being and accordingly thought up a question for him. The mic was passed to someone to my left.. then passed me by and went to someone on my right, and the lady was right in front of me so I asked quietly "Can I ask my question next?" and she nodded at me.

Of course as soon as they put the mic in my hand, the staffers decided to make their announcement, so I anxiously awaited the end of that. It seriously seemed to go on forever. Then came "Okay, next question." and I looked directly at Naoya when I stood. He was looking into the other half of the room, trying to find the person with the mic I suppose.

"My question is for Urata-san..?" I'm sure I sounded uncertain when I said this, as I'm always very worried about being impolite, and since I've seen his name written both as "Urata Naoya" and "Naoya Urata", I wasn't sure which one to use. He looked at me with a smile and said "hai", so I felt a little reassured. "What makes you the leader, and what are your duties as leader?" I wonder if the question lost a bit of it's humor in translation, but they did seem at least a little amused. I know now that Naoya doesn't do anything, and is the leader because he's the oldest. XD

When the question about Kamen Rider was asked, the guy next to us who we'd met in line on Friday powered up his Kamen Rider belt and got some applause and laughter from the band. I kind of zoned out for the rest of the Q&A as my fangirl fulfilment quota for the year had been completely satisfied. However, at one point Shinjiro looked over to sempai and then he turned to Naoya and started like rapidly poking him, and then Naoya looked over and Shinjiro pointed towards us and looked all excited and Naoya was just kind of like distracted. Considering which two it was, sempai and I wondered if maybe.. just maybe they had seen the pre-concert footage of us in line. *hearts*

My pictures came out as horribly as everyone else's seemed to, but here are a few anyway. Shuta made me rofl in the first one.

Saturday Autographs
On Saturday we were prepared with our items we had brought with us to get signed. I had the All CD/DVD set, and sempai had her special edition 3rd Attack DVD. When we got to the merchandise table though, we noticed that only Chiaki and Urata's keychains hadn't been sold out. The Urata-fangirl in me was furious and sempai offered to buy it for me, so we went for her wallet... and it was gone!

We spent all the time we were waiting in line looking for her wallet (which she eventually found in her pocket, that re-re) and finally bought the keychain just before the line started to move. I very quickly hung it on the front of my badge and didn't really think anything else of it at the time. We go in for autographs, and Shinjiro points to Kristi and goes "Uwa!". She didn't speak as much this time, as I think she was a little thrown by the fact that he remembered her.

I adopted the "Hi" and "Thank you" policy through Chiaki and then picked my CD book up again to flip to Shinjiro's picture. I mumbled (quietly I thought) "Shinjiro, where are you?" while I was flipping and then I heard "Shinjiro, namae wa." and looked up and I was standing right in front of him. I must have turned red, I really must have. After that I went back to the "Hi" and "Thank you" policy, because I felt safe. XD Sempai wished Misako a happy belated birthday, which she seemed happy about.

I came to Naoya, the wonderful smiling fabulous Naoya who looked up at me and said "Hi". I replied "Hi" again, my safe policy, and I'm watching him sign my autograph... and I'm watching his arm come across the table, and his finger is extended towards that keychain that I had just bought and forgotten about, and he poked it.

For the second time in my life, it seemed every word of Japanese I knew suddenly leaped out of my head and I stammered out a very awkward "Y-yea, it's you.", grabbed my CD and stepped away to wait for sempai. The first brilliant words exchanged after that were "Did Naoya poke you?" "Yea.. yea I think he did."

Sunday Autographs
As Sunday was our last chance to see them, I was dead set on getting there early. I was second in line this time with Kristi behind me. I joined another group of fans in learning the dance to Champagne Gold, but unfortunately didn't make it back in time to perform with them. I left satisfied anyway.

Group of dancing fans.

I wanted very badly to shake their hands, and hadn't had the courage to ask earlier in the weekend. I suppose since this was the last day, and I didn't know whether or not I'd ever have the chance to see them in person again I decided it was worth a try to ask. Shinjiro was first today, and he asked me where to sign the CD cover that I gave him. I didn't know how to answer properly in Japanese so I turned it over and pointed to where I wanted him to sign and to the silver marker (as it was the black cover of the Samurai Heart/Winter Lander single). He signed and I hesitated for a moment before putting my hand out and again since I didn't know how to ask properly in Japanese, I just tried "May I?"

He shook my hand, but then said something sounding concerned of which all I could understand was "cold". I shook my head to explain that I didn't understand and he tapped the translator next to him who explained that he was sorry that his hands were so cold. Honestly, his hands could have been made of ice and I wouldn't have cared, but it was very sweet of him to apologize. I said a quick "ohayo" to Hidaka and looked back over to watch Kristi's conversation with Shinjiro about his hat while he was signing. His "thank you" snapped my attention back to him and I apologized for being distracted and again, asked in the best way I knew how for a handshake, which he seemed happy to give.

Shuta was next, and I'll love him forever because of this. He signed my black CD cover in black marker, yes. He gave me a ninja autograph, and he must have realized this, because he reached out for my hand with both of his and gave me a very enthusiastic handshake and an "I'm an idiot" smile. Very cute.

Shuta's super awesome ninja autograph!

Chiaki was very sweet and seemed excited to give a handshake, Nissy was charming and full of smiles, then again I was face to face with Naoya who had just about jolted me into lalaland with his random pokeage on the previous day. We exchanged "good morning"s and "thank you"s and as he had been watching when I shook Nissy's hand he held out his hand for mine. I reached out and shook it quickly and for lord only knows what reason "Kawaii desu" slipped out. I stepped away really quickly after that, but Kristi was still earlier in the line so neither Naoya or Nissy were busy at the time and were both looking at me for another moment after that, thankfully they seemed amused. That was the last I saw of AAA.

All of our autographed goodies. ^ ^ Yes, we had to frame the shirt.

I really hope they come back to America again. ^ ^

Launch of Fandom Journal

So, today marks the launch of this fandom journal. medifruit wasn't an easy name to come up with, but in the end I suppose I'm happy with it. Although I'm so accustomed to going by "flute" that I've tried to sign in as "mediflute" several times now.

Nifty Kendama layout. The good old standby header image code that I've been using on my other journals seems to have failed me, so I whipped this up with a code I stole from kristidesu. I don't know that I'll have much to share here, but maybe I'll get some use out of it.

Peace @_@
